Dear Friends,
I am sorry I have not had time to do a proper report of the last work party on 13th & 14th November. I must simply say that we had the biggest team yet - 14 in all I think, and everyone worked like trojans. A great deal was achieved as we come down the home straight to our opening day on the 15th. Special mention must be made of those for whom this was a first work party: Gavin Cowen, Jean Viljoen, The Briggs Family Nigel, Sue and Daughters Philippa & Lauren. Something of a baptism by fire perhaps - they worked tirelessly over the two days. We also salute Pat Cahill, photographer of note and mower of uneven lawns.
Regarding the open day, we can report that everything is on track and the turbine and tower have been transported to Reichenau in preparation for the Helicopter lift on Monday.

Hoisting of restored turbine into position by South African Air Force
Tea/Coffee & Refreshments
Talk on History of Mission & Mill
Presentation to Suppliers
Tour & Working Demonstration of Mill
Program will commence at approximately 10 a.m. subject to favourable weather conditions.
A number of people have asked for directions to Reichenau so here they are:
Coming from Durban, continue past Maritzburg about 20 Kilometres to the Merrivale/ Southern Berg off ramp. Turn left and head for Bulwer some 90 Kilometres off. Continue straight on through Bulwer towards Underberg. 23 Kilometres beyond Bulwer the turn off to Reichenau comes up on the right. The Mission is 3 Kilometres off along a good gravel road.
Although some guests have been especially invited, there is in fact an open invitation to the public to attend, so feel free to bring as many people as you like.
